I did some knob turning and hit what I thought was a reasonable facsimile of good ol' f#49 tone. (Not a Tele/Champ.) Short clip.

Close enuff fer RnR?

Yes, the strident double stops are part of the intro, and I know my phrasing is, as usual, a bit wonky.....and the drums suck....no bass...no vox...etc..

You are listening to an ART SGX2000 (direct), Bridge HB in parallel of a SonofFrankenStrat.

Moved from amps forum cause I guess clips of this sort should not go there and had 0 responses anyway.

- fixed link, I think

Hmmm.....Links not working for me. But a question nonetheless. How much of that hot pink splattered paint is still on that ART SGX .;) :D

not it.... too dark and thick... turn the presence up a bit and the gain down. you want that crunch that a plexi gets when on 6-7 with a les paul ont he bridge pickup (a unpotted one at that!).

Still pink because this was supposed to be my do -it -all rackmount monument to tone sculpting but, in spite of some good tones stuck in the far corners of the box, it was just too unwieldy for live, somewhat unstructured, band use where tweaking is not accepted, so it has led a quiet life.

Yeah. The sparkle disappeared in the conversions.
Original WAS a Tele and Champ...AFAIK.
Can't get the "air" moving direct.
