Dr. Splatt Does It Again.
Whoa...!!
(the clip is already making waves in the italian forums - that's where I picked it up)

thanks, jj.
dude, i would never disown/disavow anything i've played, but:
i must admit that these clips were recorded in october of '05 (or, somewheres around that time),
well before i'd really got the amp better sussed-out, so..... just fwiw.
add'ly,
the unintentional "crackling" sounds were due to an intermittent power-supply to the volume pedal;
the power supply wasn't firmly seated,
and was being "all shook up" by the speaker cab --- which i discovered, later;
i let it go, since i thought it was a pretty good improv, for a demo-of-an-amp-clip.
these days, i'm getting *much* better tone from the amp, in general, and it definitely shows (i think!) on my new ecm release, "prezens", which'll be out in early '07.
thanks again!

There you go...... from the horse's mouth! :)
The truth is that you pros will always manage to sound *good* even when it's an average take (nothing implied to that specific clip of yours).
I mean...The Köln Concert was - according to Keith Jarret's recollection - one of those "bad" scenarios (upset stomack, not-so-prefect piano, etc)... and yet...
So I can't even begin to imagine just how much better your clip could/should have sounded :crazy
Oh yeah.... Congratulations for the ECM gig! Any plans for us here in EU?
BTW who is the contact for booking shows?
Thx

DT how much of a perceiveable volume difference is there when you go back and forth on your volume pedal? I of course am hearing the vast difference in the gain structure, but is it also louder, or does it simply compress and gain up?
Sorry for the dept. of redundancies dept. redundancy, I wanted to make myself clear :BEER
Thanks,
M.E.
As always, fantastic clip!

Cool clip. I'm always amazed by your touch on the bar. In the clip the amp sounds very quick to respond yet blooms and whooshes with a huge girth when opened up...
-It's like AMG got a hold of a wrecking-ball rig and turned it into a super-car, elegant, but deadly.-
:D
I'm eagerly awaiting "Prezens". Is there any story you care to share on the title?

Ha! It was worth a try. :)
Best let that one simmer in the pot until it's ready to be served.
Have you checked out any of the recent Jacques pedals? I had a Prisoner delay on loan and was very surprised by the oddness it could unleash. Not a lot of time, but the mod section can ramp the delay-time up and down for some really squirly tails. :messedup
(There will be the inevitable demo-vid soon.)

Sounds massive! Kind of reminds of the Duff Huff sound on the Giant record but at the same time it sounds like a tremendous amount of gain that would most likely squeal like there is no tomorrow at a cranked volume. Very interesting playing my friend. :AOK

Yea... I read that. That made it even more the enjoyable. The stream of consciousness and inspiration of taking that first ride.
I am looking forward to hearing it more, now that she is dialed in more.
Happy 3rd!
thanks, sl;
see my realistic caveats, above!

You're taking the guitar to incredible places here with this amp. No one here is any further informed by my printing this is great sound--one only needs to hear it--but this is great sound!! I hear about a hundred different emotions all layered into novel architectures. (This moment at the fade is masterfully unique.)
And 'thanks' to the poster.

Your caveats aside.....that killed.......
I particularly dug the clean sound, because I could feel the amp still
raging behind the lower input and your lighter touch on those sections..
(if that makes sense) .....sick improv........another amp to check out.....
I thought this site was supposed to help you with gear choices.......
I just end up w/option anxiety.............

Amazing take! If I keep listening to this my ISP is going to start charging me for extra bandwith (worth it, no doubt)! If this was a 'first take' (sorta) with that amp, we all need to hear what it sounds like today.
Finally a name for my particular disease....
option anxiety.............
Got to keep looking for the cure, hope I never find it!

Thanks for posting and thanks to splatt for creating. I very much admire the emotive changes from clean to crunch etc. What's not to like? Fabulous clip. Up to this point I've been a more talented "listener" than player but this one inspires me to rehearse.
