I just got this amp and not sure what it is.MAC Magna Electronics.Two guitar inputs ,One mic input,tone,master vol.mic vol.It has 2 6L6s,1 5Y3,1 6N7 and 1 6SJ7.12in. speaker in tweed covering..Got at a garage sale up in the hills for $3.00 I need info and schimatics.If anyon can piont me in the right direction,I would very much apreciate it.Thanks

magnatone. If it says MAC then it's likely the "-AGNATONE" is just torn off, or it's really "MEC" for Magna Electronics Company. Does it have the VIBRATO? if not then it's cool but doesn't have the Magnatone's "reason for living"

Man....1948,This things older than my dad!Mine is the same as the one in the link but with tweed.Not bad for 3 bones,but when I fire it up,I get a loud buzz,not a hum.Maby a bad Trany?Of corse,I still need one more 6V6(yes I powered her up Missing one of the tubes)Thanks a lot for the info.

Well there's your problem!!
That will cause a buzz sometimes. You might also have a disconnected ground somewhere. Get that other tube and fire it up and get back to us. Transformers are usually the last things to go, most are actually quite robust. Rust can be bad for a transformer but other than that they're usually quite durable and over spec'd in older amps.
