I finally got around to taking pictures of this guitar that is nearly a year old. I wanted a guitar that did the Strat sounds I love plus convincing Les Paul tones.
After gigging with it for the past year, I have to say Suhr nailed it. The guitar has a mahogany body, a huge C neck, Gibson nut width, SS frets. The humbuckers are the SSV's with a V60LP in the neck.
I can get great Strat sounds on the front pickup (the tones I love in a Strat) and nice Gibson neck humbucker sounds out of the middle pickeup with the tone rolled back. The two humbuckers together produce this FAT quack that is fabulous for lead and rhythm tones. The Bridge pickup alone rocks without being too dark or harsh, and sounds really good clean.
The whole experience has me thinking about another Suhr creation.
