Hey guys,
Well I bought this guitar from Cliff (Destroy All Guitars) at the Summer Philly guitar show. After some paint chip issues (Bill and I still not sure how they happened) and some wiring problems (probably happened at the same time), the guitar is back in my hands.
The guitar plays great and sounds even better. It has two P90's in it. A beautiful flamed neck, a great paint job, and a great story with it. Cliff and Bill were both very helpful through the whole process and I would buy from both again. Bill is a great guy to talk to, so knowledgable it is sometimes scary.

Well here are some pics - and notice the THG custom knobs I had made that Bill installed when it was in for its visit.

Thing about Chapin's is (are?) they look good but playing them is almost transcendental, man...................neck finish is amazing, no?

Best, Pete.

Looks great and probably sounds even better. Dig the ctrl knobs. Glad to see Bill is cranking 'em out.

It has two P90's in it.

Did you post the right pictures? I don't see any P-90s

The neck is totally the best.....everyone kept saying it, but until you play it you just cannot understand.
And the guitar is amazing sounding.
From what I understand from Cliff this guitar is based on Bill's former personal guitar. Bill is this correct?

Thanks to everyone else for the kind words.
And to answer some questions I am going to post what Cliff's site said about the guitar. It is a great description and really tells the tone and the specs well.
-----------
This special T-bird is Chapin's expression of a classic T with a bump up in tonal attitude and authority. Building this type of hybrid is dangerous and requires great care to maintain the ideal balance of chime and girth of tone. This particular piece beautifully marries the vibe, feel and sound of an early T with the thick clarity of a '55 LP custom. the specs are as follows:

Body: lightweight alder / Neck: highly flamed maple, medium soft V turning to a C / Fingerboard: old growth brazilian rosewood / Radius: 9 - 12 compound / Fretwire: Dunlop 6203 / Inlays: mother of pearl dots w/ abalone & M.O.P. shades at the 12th fret / Bridge: vintage T with 3 piece intonated brass saddles / Pickups: custom wind hybrid Tele/P90 Bridge w/ alnico P90 neck / Pickguard: 3 ply black / Finish: vintage 2 tone sunburst nitrocellulose

Amazing guitar - and it is P90's, custom wound from what I understand for Bill......again Bill if you see this, who made the pup's again?

Pretty sure Bill wound those pickups himself.
