View Full Version : Wiring a lamp to the heaters...

I'm building a Marshall clone (100 watt plexi) and I understand that a 6 volt lamp is connected to the heater wiring for the tubes. Exactly how is this done? I'm trying to figure out where specifically each wire from the lamp should be soldered.

my understanding is that polarity shouldnt matter when dealing a 6V lamp (jewel light right?). check on some online schematics at blueguitar.org though, that may help out some

You can always do it like this:

Make sure you use a 6.3 volt light bulb to get the best results of course.
