He's shop is about 2 hrs away from where I live. Haven't been there (yet) but met w/ him twice in Frankfurt (Musikmesse).
He's brilliant. Just check out the Swarosky rhinestone decked Jazzability guitar (at a point the Swarowsky family wanted to purchase it - it's that beautiful)... It sounds as amazing as it looks (and it may even be up for sale IIRC).
He actually has designs available on a license basis - Burns is using one of his designs on one of their newer planks, and IIRC the guys from Marleaux basses had him design something as well.

IMHO he could very well turn into our local (swiss / european) Saul Koll :) :)

Wow, those designs are great. Daring, but I think very effective. Cool stuff.

LOL!!!
I love the reference to the "italian" :D :D
Actually Claudio, despite the italian sounding name, is swiss. He comes from a canton (="state") called Grisons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graubünden#Culture), well known for it's VIP resorts (St. Moritz, Davos).
It's the same canton that gave birth to the the guy who designed the Aliens monster (Gyger), and to the Giacometti family of painters / sculptors (Alberto, Augusto, Giovanni), for example.

Anyone played the Burns/Pagelli?
Any idea how much those are selling for?

Hey, I found this thread by accident while searching for unrelated stuff and remembered being attracted to the unique design back when Burns announced it. I was wondering if anyone ever actually played the Burns Jet Sonic (or the original Beatmaster) and could offer a report on playability and sound. I have a Steer I quite like, but Burns stuff isn't very widely available in the US, so I'm wondering if it's worth making an effort to try one out.
