I have an amp that is set up to run 5Y3,GZ34, and 5U4 rectifiers with many different Power Tube Types.

Can I use a 5R4GY or 5R4WGA in my Amp?

I recently came into two RCA 5Y3GY's and a Chattam Electronics 5R4WGA and wanted to give them a try.

Yes, they'll be similar to 5U4GBs with a touch more sag at high volume levels.

Cool this Chattam 5R4WGA is a bullet proof looking Tube. The Base is huge and the innards look haevy duty.

Yes thats it! I'm gonna go plug it in with a set of Mullards and Bias her up to see what it sounds like.
