Held the first "One Day Amp Build Seminar" yesterday. I would say it was quite successful. A few hiccups but everyone left with a great sounding, hot rodded Marshall 45 watt head that they built themselves! Looks like we can accomadate three more "students" for the November 18th seminar. I've extended the sign up date deadline to this Friday, October 20th. Won't be doing another one until February 2007. Holidays and NAMM in Dec/Jan make it impossible.

Bruce is right, this was very cool! I enjoyed it very much. It was pretty labor intensive for most of the day with lots of soldering and following the schematic, but it was really cool! All in all, a great experience for the novice amp builder!

This was one of the coolest things I have been a part of.
The education was well worth every penny that I spent to get there and the custom amp is a complete bonus.
Bruce is very cool and patient aswell as willing to share his expertice and information, which I find rare these days in any industry.
The amp sounds FANTASTIC and I will go as far as to say one of the best if not the best marshall sounds I have heard. Can't wait till UPS shows up with it.
If you like to roll your own I highly recommend you sign up.You will learn a ton.

Can you tell us more about the amp?

I've been considering doing this but must admit I'm somewhat reluctant. I've never built an amp before, and my soldering experience is VERY minimal. It seems like building a JTM45 type amp would be a big endeavor for only one day. By nature I'm rather methodical and wonder if I would feel rushed. For those in the know, what are your feelings on this?

I'm not that great with a solder gun myself but I've never had an amp builder show me how to do it right. It sounded like the first class when better than they expected. I can't wait!

Guy's, no worries. Bruce said he is probably going to pre wire a bit more this time so you can get some theory and stuff. Plus even if you are slow, Bruce will help you out. You can't/won't fail.......he just won't let that happen.
