nice paint work as usual. Look at the flame underneath that Gold Top. You/he must have known prior to stripping. Man that 2001 R8 top is stunning!!! Not my favorite color, but what a piece of maple:AOK

The figure on that Anderson is unreal! It's got to be even more eye-popping in person. Anderson and Hamer don't stain their woods, I like that better. That baker is also a nice piece of maple.

What is the wood on this top? I really like it!!!
Its quilted maple, known as tubeular quilt (I think that's what they called it)
Most beautiful guitar I've ever owned.

I haven't heard from Paul in a while, but I'll probably do ti soon (I'll need more Haussels).

By the way do youi know if Nik Huber paints his guitars? Mine will be finished by a german "painter" that serves a lot of small company luthiers from Germany. I don't know his name but maybe he works with Huber too.

Nik´s paintjobs are all done inhouse without any exceptions.

One of his first official flyers was handed out with the slogan:

"Rock´n Roll ist nicht tot - er ist nur aufwändiger lackiert!"
("Rock´n Roll has not died - it´s just painted fancier!") :D

Damn Bill... that carve amber top looks like a Paul killer... I've been droolin' of the idea of a carve top tele in lemon drop with lester style controls and a cream binding... one day... *sigh*

ROY!!!!! How are you? How is the Tele treating you? You swapped out the neck - does the new neck have a reverse headstock as well?. Did you leave the pickups in it? Still a beautiful body on her!

Believeit or not, this picutre is so old, it originally came from a 3 1/2 inch floppy disk! The pic was taken in either 1998 or 1999 with an old 35 mm camera - and then scanned into the computer the old fashioned way.

It is my old (long since gone) McInturff Zodiac. Terry made it from his private stock of wood. Sorry about the horrible picture quality, but you can at least get an idea of the quilt on her.

I used to say that, relative to PRS's "10 Top", this axe should have been rated about 35.
