Are there any luthiers in the Chicagoland area who will build a korina flying v replica?

You might try Flynn Guitars in Evanston. (847) 491-0500 I'm sure they can get you in contact with Kurt Wilson, who builds Korina Vs, among other things. They carry some of his stuff. I've got one of his Korina Junior copies and it's a super guitar.

Make'n Music just got in a stock of Kurt Wilson's guitars. Go there and Teddy will take care of you. They had a korina V in stock two weeks ago.

BTW, Kurt is a builder from Illinois.
