Got 4 "pusher" pots, from CE Distribution (Angela) and 2 of them went bad. About 1-2 months of careful use.
Im talking about those for guitar use (vol/tone).
Dont buy!

I never cared for the idea of them, myself. Too easy to hit them and knock then back down. I want to do a mod soon, and I'll use a rotary switch instead.

Pusher bot is here to protect you.
Do you have stairs in your house?
(Don't trust the pusher bot!)

I've had push/push pots for pickup switching in one of my "main" guitars for about 5-7 years & have had zero problems. I got mine from allparts.com.
Sorry yours didn't work out!

A lot of them are hit and miss. I had one in a Huber that went bad at a gig and stayed in the up position. I was pissed. I told him never again...he told me the problem was fixed and that he had a new supplier. My Redwood has the new pot and I have gigged extensively with no issues. E-mail Nik and ask him what pot he uses, it is a winner.

The ones Yamaha used back in the eighties were alright.

+1. I had some go bad on me so they got replaced with push/pulls.
But even when they were still working I didn't like the way the knobs sat way up off the face of the guitar (to provide clearance for pushing down). I also didn't like the lack of visual/tactile feedback -- you know which position a push/pull is in but the push/push is always a guess.
