I have these laying around but don't really know what they are.
2 are labeled VLVE-0004...and underneath that: WK48
1 is labeled VLVE-00035-T, underneath: WK49
I searched but came up empty...
My guess is the 2 are 12AX7's and 1 is possibly a 12AT7?

These are newer type tubes from a JTM45RI.
Here is a photo of one of the two, WK48's.

Those look like EIs, Yugoslavia, without plate coating.

Second that.
Are Ei soon to become the next hot thing in NOS tubes? Time will tell...

They might, given their following. Maybe they'll improve in performance the way a fine wine does.

They are EI. I have lately been replacing several of these due to excessive microphonics.

Thanks Mike,
And VV...and Timbre Wolf for the suggestion.

Do all 12AT7's have shorter plates?
Maybe it's just luck but I've tried two new JJ 12AT7's in my V3 of my JTM45RI and they just started howling within minutes.
I am eyeing the NOS tubes on your site (KCA) for V3?
I had EI golds in all slots and with new iron they were not quite right. I thought I had 3 Tung-Sol RI 12AX7's but only had two. So they went in V1&2 and put the Marshall WK49 in V3. Much better, but was thinking of adding another TS and a NOS 12AT7 to try.
Any recommendations? The NOS Mullard 12AT7WA?

In my experience, all of the new production, lower gain, 12A*7 types are trash. Seems silly to buy them when you can get NOS 12AT7s for $12 a pop.
The Mullard 12AT7WAs are certainly a good pick.

Thanks again...
Just ordered. Thought I would try the balanced Jan Phillips/Sylvania, a NOS balanced Mullard and a balanced T-S RI.
Only I screwed up the first order, so I had to order twice to include the Mullard.
Sorry my bad.

No problem. I'll put them on one order with one shipping charge.
Thanks.
