Hi Guys,

I have a question and need some help.
My amp is a 100 watt Marshall 1959 SLP RI W/no FX loop.
When I stand behind the head and remove the back access panel, which transformers are which?
As I stand BEHIND and look inside, the preamps are to my left, and the power tubes to my right.
There are two huge transformers and one small one.
I was wondering if someone could tell me what the two larger trannys are and the same for the smaller one.
I know there is a power tranny, and a output tranny....but that is all I know.
Thank you for clearing this up for me once and for all.
Take care,
Mass

The big one closest to the edge of the chassis (rightmost) is the power transformer.
The big one next to the PT, but rotated 90 degrees is the output transformer
The smaller one, leftmost, is the choke.

There is a power transformer, an output transformer, and a choke. The smallest one is the choke, the one on the left is the power transformer, and the one on the right is the output transformer.

The smaller one, leftmost, is the choke.

Well, I would say that sums it up completely!
Thanks to both of you!
All the best,

Actually, the power transformer is on the right on a Marshall--not the left. I am more of a Fender guy and always think in terms of Fenders.

simple; the power trans is usually near the power cable, and the output trans is near the speaker outputs.
