So I ordered about 20 1/4 inch right angle connectors from markertek. I get an e-mail telling me they connectors are on back-order. So I e-mail them to see how long it will be before I get them in the mail...

Turns out the answer is March!

Someone please console me and prevent me from bashing my head into the floor. :(

Try Switchcraft. They're much better anyways!

Well, that's not Neutrik's fault, that's the distrubuters fault for not keeping on top of their inventory.

I've heard g&h RA connectors are better.

I've heard g&h RA connectors are better.

I'd agree with that, but I think it's more of a personal preference.

Thanks guys. Looks like their sales rep was lying to me. Shame.

Looks like I will be cancelling my order, and I will be going with you suggestions. Thanks!

I doubt he lied, my bet is that he was passed mis-information.
Pretty notorious in the industry at times.

Sometimes there is a issue with supply, but USUALLY it's the distributor not stocking the parts.

IMO, YMMV, etc etc etc.

Yeah, I am not too excited about spending $13 on one connector. keep in mind that I am buying 20. 20 Neutrik connectors cost me $80!

They've got 24 packs there for $78 if you wanted the G&H

Are they really better than Neutrik?

Better is subjective. They are also good, and I prefer them.

I wouldn't worry about the quality of Neutrik vs. G&H. I've bought hundreds of Neutrik connectors and haven't had any break or fail yet. YMMV. Try Redco if you're still looking.

Personally I hate the Neutrik design, I find that they break more than any other connectors I've used. Their 1/4" aren't as bad as their XLRs, but still worse than the others I've tried

Redco has the Neutrik right-angle connectors on back order too.

There are two types. One of them is back-ordered and one is not. The more expensive of the two varieties is not (but it is also physically larger).

Like I said, just get the G&H. They are supirior connectors...ask lavaman, bayou cables, high end studios, etc., etc., etc. G&H + Canare is all you'll ever need. These will last forever if done right and are right on the $$. A great value. Seriously, give it some thought.

$13 a piece....that just criminally-insanely high...here is what they cost over here...a little over $3 a pop...

I haven't had any problems with the Neutriks....and have had over 200 of them in my studio. The only thing I don't like about them is when you solder up the the pins, and forget to put the shell on first....then you need to desolder and start over.

Cheers,

Kris

PS: FWIW, I haven't had any problems with switchcraft either...I'll use both brands equally.

Alright guys. I cancelled my order with Markertek. I need some help with where and what I should order as a replacement. Keep in mind I need 20 1/4inch right-angle connectors.
