Hello all,

I'm having fun with my new Fender parts-o-caster! It's an alder body, rosewood board, and Lindy Fralin Real 54's pickups. The amp is a Fuchs ODS-50 SLX 1x12 combo w/ an Emi Cannabis Rex speaker installed (amp settings - rock switch on, mid boost on, input at 11:00, treble at 12:30, mid at 8:00, bass at 10:30, OD input at 10:30, OD output at 12:00, master volume at 12:30, accent at minimum, reverb off). Mic is an SM-57 about 1 inch off center. Guitar is set to position 2 (bridge-middle) until 3:28 or so when I switched it to the bridge pickup. Volume is rolled back to 4-5 on the guitar at the start and then brought up from there.

The playing is nothing to write home about but the tone kills!! (man, I need practice :D).

Here's the sound clip (http://home.centurytel.net/flanneldrawers/new-strat_fuchs_crex.mp3). What do you guys think?

Hey sweet tone and nice playing too, nice vibrato and well phrased lines.

Kinna funny... I'm on that pickup selector switch in mid phrase... I get a little bored from a dynamic perspective if I stay on the same pup for a while. Too many colors to choose :-)
Was this your USACG or an actual Fender parts-o-caster? Hummm... that would make it jus' a plain ol' Fender wouldn't it :-)

Sweet tone, man! Fine playing too, makes me want to dig my strat out of the closet. Only suggestion I'll make is maybe stick a pause in there every so often, especially at the end where you pick it up. Keep 'em coming!

Thanks Madison!

I can't put this guitar down (new guitar - honeymoon situation I'm sure). Here's another I recorded this morning with the new strat. This one is with the Fuchs set clean using a Lovepedal Eternity overdrive pedal.

Clipage here... (http://home.centurytel.net/flanneldrawers/strat_eternity_fuchs.mp3)
