Jazzy guitarstuff - my 1st upload too!

OK,
So this is my 1st upload, I'm sort of a beginner guitarist (took lessons for the first time for a little over a year)... and not very experienced w/recording. Just bought a recording interface and trying to learn the ropes, so this take is really just figuring out the software.
I tried to mic my amp for the 1st time too, not sure about position or anything, so the sound isn't really what I wanted but it's a start.

Sounds pretty good to me.

Nice work, real good playing and I liked the tone. You might try putting the delay in a buss and letting more of the unprocessed signal through it will get the lead guitar in front quite a bit more while still giving you the atmosphere the delay makes happen. Keep posting......

Jeez, you're a beginner? I've been playing for almost thirty years and I'm not sure I could have done that one with as much taste as you showed. really good job- keep 'em coming.

Sub-D, yes-thx for the advice on the delay... Seems I was focusing so much on trying to figure out how to get a good sound with a mic'd amp (which I still haven't quite figured out!) that I forgot to check the processor :-)

Hey Thx MikeM,

Actually I studied for about 14 months straight under the excellent instruction of 'HarryJ'. If you haven't heard him play just check out his site. As good a guitarist as he is, he's equally as good a teacher. I never took lessons before, played piano hacking around as a kid, but this is the 1st time I've been serious . I'm still a bit lost when it comes to my sound but that'll come with time...

Other than the delay as was mentioned earlier, I thought it was quite good.
