I find myself strangely attracted to this. I found the pic while browsing the HC forums. Apprarently, it will be released in 2007.

I guess opinions was not the right word. Impressions is more like it.

Pretty sexy to look at - I have no idea how she plays or sounds, tho.

That's kinda cool looking interested on how she plays and sounds.
Hmmmmm. Mi gusta, mi gusta. That's really pretty.
I don't know why, or what this means, but immediately after seeing it, the first thing that popped into my brain was Schecter....
....schecter, I never met her.. I know, I know.....

I saw soulive w/ talib about a week ago, and i'm pretty sure krasno was slingin' one of these instead of his typical ibanez semi. I thought he sounded pretty good, definitely a thicker tone than his usual but balanced very nicely. the only thing bad i can say about it is that i love his usual tone so much that i kind of missed it. then again, every time i see soulive they get heavier and heavier, and farther and farther from their jazzy roots, so maybe the new direction calls for it. it did sit in the mix real nicely, though. tight bass, lots of clarity. then again, anything he plays sounds great.

oh, saw sco w/ phil lesh this summer -- amazing
sco played a telecaster for about 1/3 of the show
that guitar looks sweet
and fwiw, i dig ibanez's
i had a 1981 AS200, same batch as Scofields, and sold it a couple of months ago, some guy offered me 2200, and i couldn't resist

Looks good to me... I wonder if it's another one of their "pretty" gimmicks, though.

i was kind of in the back at that show, but it looked like eric was playing through an ac30. never seen that one with him before, i usually see him with the boogie. the change in amp probably contributes a lot to his change in tone as i described it before.
i too caught phil with sco, absolutely phenomenal set. were you at bonnaroo? sco's one of my absolute favorites. I also saw him with mmw at the bowery around thanksgiving, he picked up the tele for a tune that night as well.

i got the chance to meet him in charlotte in '03--my wife took me to see him with avi and the boys for my birthday and she got drunk and snuck backstage, telling him it was my b-day and he invited me back hang out
i have a pic with him but he blinked so it looks like he's high
that night he played a line 6 variax for one song--GP had asked him to give it a review and he'd been playing it some
believe it or not, it sounded like his tone

Looks kickass...
I've been impressed by their Prestige line and let's hope there is a Prestige version of this as well! The extra attention to detail in the Prestiges really makes them keepers. I know, some people can't get beyond the brand name, but my Prestige RGT3120 is just as good as my PRS CU24 when it comes to sound, playability, and craftsmanship.

I don't know about you, but somehow I've always found blunt LP-ish guitars look really wrong.
BTW, does anyone find it funny that many Ibanez models seem to follow Cort's models, with some modifications. For example the Ibanez SR basses and Cort Artisan basses (at least the older models) are very similar, while the guitar in this thread is a lot like the Cort Z series. And as far as I know, Cor-Tek aka Cort manufactures guitars for Ibanez.

My first guitar was an Ibanez (79blazer) so they have a special place in my heart. http://www.thegearpage.net/board/images/icons/icon14.gif

Sco and Metheny get by it pretty well Sco picked his up back in the 80s when his 335 was being worked on. Never put it down. I had an '81 AS200. They're nicer than a 5k 355. The 355s don't have bound f-holes either. Not to mention the inlay is more intricate. Sound? Meh, haven't played enought to say if one is better.
