I'd bet that not all of us frequent the Manufacturers and Dealers section of the forum. Found this over there:

Dear members of this community
My name is Walter Bonomo. I am Marketing Director for Aluminum capacitors for Vishay/Sprague and responsible for the TVA Atom product line, among others. I would like to state that, despite information on some websites, THERE IS NO INTENTION TO DISCONTINUE THE TVA ATOM PRODUCT LINE.
We were indeed forced to make price adjustments to this line due to increasing costs of raw materials. On the other hand, the intention is to continue the manufacturing and supply of these products, under the existing channels.
If any doubts, or if you want to check the authenticity of this post, please feel free to email me.
I appreciate if you can help me discontinue these rumors and spread the correct information.

Regards

That is not the first time I have seen a similar letter posted. IMO, A few nameless dealers were trying to boost the end of year inventory pricing to make these look important enough to stock up on. That and justify their own excessive pricing by creating some hype.

Personally, I rarely buy Sprague Atoms, Though a quality product, There are alternatives. I do not subscribe to the hype that seems to be rampant in this consumer sector. This also applies to so called "RE-Issue" tubes and so called Mustard Caps.

I think its great Sprague has decided to continue producing time proven products of yesteryear. True restoration buffs will also love it. But Yesteryears technology has its place in history, And in proper time, Newer products will be just as sought after and also be known for their quality.

Trout, what electrolytic caps would you recommend for a DIY amp project? Xicon caps? Solen Fast caps? Illinois? Something else?

I Use Primarily CDE electrolytics. Though no longer actually made in the USA, they offer a great value for the buck. I have built over 25 amps with them, and never had a single failure. The oldest is only about 4 years old, But I can foresee these running a long long time.
