I was blowing fuses until I switched my power tubes out on my FTR-37 (a 6V6 amp)
I wanted to make sure it was the tubes before I replaced them and rebiased.
How long can I have the new tubes in before rebiasing....and what are the dangers?

It depends on how far out of correct bias they are. There's about a one in five chance that they're running so hot that they will expire quicky. It's impossible to say for sure until you check the bias.

Hey Mike!
Since you're online, just wanted to say thanks for the quick service. I put the new tubes in today. I kept an eye on them to see if they would heat up and had the amp on just long enough to see if the fuse would go.
Those Marconi's are huge. The way the FTR is they are actually touching each other. Could this pose any problem?
BTW the few minutes the amp was on it sounded waaaay warmer. The treble knob is actually usable now. Unattenuated I had to keep the treble almost off on this amp but now it's at about 12 o'clock. Also, there seemed to be more headroom which was a gripe before.
Thanks again
