If so, in what axe? Impressions?

Thanks.

I put some in a 68 SG special... I thought they sounded really, really good, beautiful even.

disclaimer ... only played the SG a few times through a 64 champ (that needed to be recapped) before I sold it, So you might want to get a few other opinions :)

There's been a bit of talk about them here lately. I have them in a Guild Bluesbird. Love 'em! All the squawk of a P90 but quiet - great low-end definition. Better than the PAF style pickups that were in it.

The Google Search here on TGP for "P-92" will turn up many pages of praise for this pickup.

I had them in my recently departed Delia (now headed to broham Cotton!), and they sounded incredible. The combination of the P-92 and hollow body were just magic.

I have a slightly hotter set of them in my IA Standard. They are glorious in the solid body as well. They are dead quiet, and deliver everything that I love about P-90 tone.

Mainsale has 'em in a couple of axes too...a Tele and a LP if I remember correctly. Loves 'em in both guitars.

FWIW, the P-92 is my favorite Fralin pickup. I wasn't too jazzed about his humbucker, but the P-92 is a home run.

That's good to know. The Hamer Special that I played didn't really move me, but I loved the Fralins (P90s) that were in it. Got me thinking that I may slap some P92s in my PRS CE-24.
I have some nice Rio HBs in the PRS at the moment, but as great as they are for rock and heavier types of music, I just don't play that style much so it seems like P92 may make the axe more useful for me.

As Enharmonic stated, I have Fralin P-92's in four guitars now and I'm a huge fan of them. The guitars are two Tele's a LP Florentine and a 336. They are rich in tone and very articulate. Lindy Fralin described them to me as a "noiseless P-90" and I agree. They have that wonderful P-90 sparkle and snap.

I have a set in a mahog. body tele. Love 'em. To me they sound quite a bit brighter than P-90s, although I got mine on the underwound side.

I don't know how close they are to the "Domino" pickups that Lindy made for the original PRS EG series, but I had a couple of them, and those pickups sounded fantastic...!

In fact, pretty much EVERY Fralin pickup I've ever played sounded great.

Do they rock pretty well with medium gain applications? I loved the clean tones of the P90s and would hope that the 92's are just as nice too.

They're great in that application.
