My '83 '62 AV Strat has little wear for as much as I've played it. It was my #1 for about 13/14 years. It is a little lighter in color wear my arm rests and the scratches above the pickguard are still just scratches. It would much more worm if it were nitro. No checking at all.http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d119/LukeVossen/100_1119.jpg years.

Here is my 1989 Carvin DC200. This one I bought in 1991 used as a backup to my stable of Showcase edition Gibsons. The Gibsons with a nitro finish all discolored and then cracked. The Carvin with the poly finish has now seen many many many more hours of use on the road than the Gibsons. It still looks and plays the same today as it did the day I bought it. Here is a current photo taken today of the guitar.

You bet it gets old and relics naturally. It's thicker and more durable than nitro. but there really is not much difference when it comes to relic-ing (if they get played that is).

Here is my '74 Strat. No fake relic-ing required.

The bridge is looking nice, and the tuners are almost completely dulled.

Nothing faked or Relic'd, all real and honest wear and tear.

Good and jealous of that checking.

Might have to get out the blowdrier and open the freezer.

Then again, thats not very honest wear.

Here is my 77 Tele. I love the way it has aged. I wish I had taken better close up pictures.

Thought I would chime in!
Here is a few pics of my 1973 Jazzmaster. This is what i would call "natural wear" although i believe this guitar has seen som abuse.
