Whatever key it's in... :AOK I think our band used to play it in G but we may have transposed it.....

Good luck...

I can't really remember what key or scale I've messed around with when jamming 'around' that song but it sounds (in my head) that it has a sort of 'major' tonality to it...yet the seventh is flatted. Is that correct? That always make me think 'Mixolydian'. So try that...it's just a major scale but with a flatted seventh.

G Mixolydian will work great. Also, you may try mixing in some Pentatonics. Am Pent. would sound good.

I like G mixolydian, G pent. on occasion, and also throw in a East Indian sitar like scale in G to break things up a bit. Kind of takes the song in a cool direction as it is truly a great song to improvise on. Then come back with G mixolydian to finish it off...

I'm not familiar with that one. What are the notes of which it's comprised?

Mix the g mi blues w/ G Mix mode / G amj pent & chromatix
It does sound like max middleton throws in some Dominant sus4 b9 stuff, too

That is kinda ;like Fmi/G bass reslove to G7
