Here is my band, Revival, doing the classic 6/8 time Allman Brothers classic at The Hole in The Wall in Dallas on Saturday night, 2/3.
Solo order: Part I, Jim Lancaster on keys; Part II, Yours Truly; Part III, Skeeter Harrison; Part IV, Paul Miller on drums

Both Skeeter and I usually play Gibsons and Epiphones, but for some reason,we both picked up our Strats for this set, and it actually worked out well.
See what you think.

I've enjoyed your stuff before, and this example is no exception.
I'm always a sucker for Allman Brothers covers from the Duane era. You guys don't only play the notes, but you put yourselves into it, and that's what that music was about.
Thank you.

Thanks, JM. My playing is not flawlessly executed on this cut - it's anything but.
However, you nailed it when you said we put ourselves into it. We've now been playing together over 2 years and things are starting to gel, but perhaps a bigger part of it is this particular venue. It is very intimate, and inspires extra dynamic playing.

Thanks guys.
Additional info on who played what: Skeeter played the head, I came in with 1/2 verse of rhythm, then played the harmony part throughout.
I arranged the transistion verse between the two guitar solos by taking the 5th verse solo from the Fillmore album and adding a harmony part. I played the harmony.
This band is constantly evolving with new harmony and dual-guitar parts for much of the music we play. And yes, it is a LOT of fun!

Dave,
Your band sounds great. I gig around atlanta but didn't know there was a club in out in Dallas. Our bass Don Hacker player lives out there.
