Personally, I don't like mine - I MUCH perfer the CE-2 but that's me.

Here's a bunch of info on the CE-5: http://www.bossarea.com/loadpage.asp?file=boxes/ce5.xml

The CE-5 pedals built prior to October 2001 should be analog, apparenlty with a circuit very similar to the CE-2 & CE-3. The ones built after October 2001 are digital.

I know that this goes to all popular sentiment but I much prefer the CE-3 to the CE-2. It just sounds better...

Does anyone know how any of the CE's stack up against the Ibanez CS-9 (original)?

How are the CE-3's? Has anyone played both a CE-3 and a Ibanez CS-9?

From what I've gathered, the CE-3 is not very good at all. However, Boss designed the CE-3 to be used mainly in stereo. I'd imagine most of the negative reviews I've heard were from those who tested in mono.

I like the stock CE-3 better than the stock CE-2 as well and that was what was on my board until I received my Keeley modded CE-2 back from the man. I totally kills now!

The CR-3 does sound good in stereo, but also sounds good in mono IMO.
