I just scored a '04 Suhr Classic on the bay.:AOK
I've been looking at Strat's and Tele's lately and have already talked to Ed at Suhr about the specs I would like for a Tele.
This Classic has a light weight Alder body,Maple neck with a Brazilian Rosewood board,JST V60 pickups and aged green plastic.I got this beauty for a very good price and I'm stoked.I'll post more pics when it's in my hands.I have owned several TAG's guitars but, this is my first Suhr.:)

I installed v60-LP's in Strat I didn't use much since I got my Andersons. The Strat came alive with the Suhr's. Much fuller sounding than the Texas Specials and somewhat darker than the TAG's single coils. The blender wiring option offered a different way to dial in tones. I was happy with the upgrade.
The prewired pick guard was a inexpensive way to get a good guitar up to great and back into the rotation.
Good Luck with yours

My main guitars are my 1979 Les Paul and a Suhr Classic Strat. Best two guitars I've ever had. I like the Tele shape and I like the way a Tele balances when you play it, but I'm not into Tele tone personally. A Strat and a Les Paul are where it's at for me sound wise. I like both just as much equally.
In a Strat I always prefer a humbucker in the bridge with a neck and middle single coil pickup. I never used a single coil in the bridge position much on a Strat. My Suhr has the single/single/humbucker configuration on it. Not much I can't do with it.

I'm mainly a Les Paul and Tele guy.I love the way Strats sound but, have never been very comfortable with a contoured body.I've had many Strats over the years, all Fender's.I really like the Alder/Rosewood combo for a Strat.I often use the bridge single coil and dig it.I'm sure after I have the Classic,I'll be on the phone with Suhr ordering me a Tele to go along with the Strat.:D

Congratulations! That's a beautiful guitar and I'm sure it plays and sounds beautifully, too. I'm a big fan of Suhr. Early last year I was looking for a new strat and tele with traditional (vintage) feel and tone. I did an obscene amount of driving so that I could try Fenders, Andersons, Tylers, Suhrs, G&L's, etc. There was this one Suhr Classic T that I just could not get out of my head. So I bought it, and I put in a custom order for a Classic. I've never been happier. These are truly wonderful guitars. Congrats, again.

Thanks man.
We are just doing it in the reverse order.I'm Staring with the Classic and more than likely will shortly order a Classic T.This Classic has the specs I would have chosen.Even the color. The only thing I may have requested differet would be the radius. This one has the 10-14 but,I may have went with the 9-12.I just can't wait to get this beauty in my hands.

Sweet looking Suhr. I'm just about to order my second Classic S but one of the new "Antique" Series. My first is Sonic Blue with the SSC system. Unbelievable playability. You'll love it. I had a classic T also with the SSC. I highly recommend the SSC if you are spec'ing out a new one. Good luck

Nice! After a friend of mine tried out my newly acquired Suhr, he bid on that one! Too low obviously.
I bought the Cactus green metallic Suhr Classic on ebay last week, I'm sure some of you guys saw it. It had so many upgrades- birdseye neck w/brazilian, abalone everything etc, I had to bid on it. I got it for $1505, and it's more better than I thought it would be. These pickups just kill. And the stainless frets are unbelievable.

Tell your friend I said sorry.:D
Was he the bidder in second place?
If so,I'm not sorry.
His bid cost me about $100.:Spank
I still scored it for a little over 30% less than new.
Not bad in my book.

Actually he came over here to bid, and waited until the last 10 seconds- his bid got completely knocked out of the running and doesn't even show up because it was too low (he bid 1505 because he wanted to pay the same as I did for mine) by the time it posted so it didn't affect the final price.

Yeah anytime you can get a Suhr Classic for 15-16
that is a real good deal & you wont lose anything if you decide to sell for another.

Exactly.:AOK
I've ordered a custom guitar from a different builder to my specs. After a 5 month wait I received the guitar. It was beautifully made and looked great. Not one flaw. However,I just did not bond with it.It just did not suit me.I ended up selling it and taking a $600 loss.:jo
Sure,I could have kept the guitar but,I needed money and had to sell a couple things.Since I did not play the guitar it was sold.

Me too ;)
That is why a price point like this is good for trying.
If it does not work out no problem. Maybe your out the shipping but that is the same as any 48hour approval deal.
This way you can take your time & see.
