Assuming its a bridge position I can offer the following opinions based on similar experience. I built a san dimas repro a few0years ago and put in the duncan custom shp evh with aged nik cover. This pup SLAYED in this guitar. It was about 9 ohms. In another guitar I had I put in a duncan 59 neck in this position because the ole charvels did that and it sounded great. Check out wolfetone.com. These are hand m$ade boutique pups at reasonable prices if you are looking for a paf variety. If you wqant a distortion pup then dimarzio or duncan is prob a greta choice. Good luck

Also, check out Mick Manlius at www.manliusguitar.com (http://www.manliusguitar.com)
I've had one of his custom wound buckers in the neck of my tele for several years now. After trying a bunch of neck buckers, the search stopped once I dropped that baby in. There are many that will do the trick for you though. Check out the manufactures emporium here for some ideas. Good luck!

I have the RS Fralins (AlNiCo IV's) in a 05 Standard with locking grovers, RS Wiring kit, Pigtail studs and tailpiece played through a heavily modded 50w Marshall (PTP w/ sozo's, Mercury Mags, tube effects loop aka master vol) I play blues, blues rock, southern rock, and classic rock through it.
I don't have a set of Dr. V's yet. I still need another guitar to put some in:drool
