For you gigging guitarist: What settings do you like on the Tone Press? And, do you keep it on all the time?

It depends on what you like to use it for... If you want squishy, mess with the trim pot / crank the blend and sustain. You will have to adjust the volume when you crank those.

For sparkling rhythms:
Volume: unity (roughly 2:30)
Blend: 11:30
Sustain: 11:30

This is one of those settings that is more of a sweetener than a compressor. You don't notice it was on until you turn it off, but it demands that you turn it back on :) I like to leave it on all the time for the most part.

For Clean Boost:
Volume: to taste
Blend: all the way down
Sustain: I don't think this matters

You really just have to tweak it to your own rig everytime you play. enjoy!

Here are roughly my settings. And it's not on all the time.

Volume: about 1:00
Blend: 11:30
Sustain: 11:30

I agree with the above. Vol about 1:00, the other two just shy of noon.

awesome comp!

Under what circumstances would you have it on and off?

The on/off part is a "feel" thing for me if that makes any sense.

I set mine like this:

Volume: 2:00
Blend: 10:00
Sustain: 2:30

I never turn it off. this setting allows for more sustain, better articulation & fullness. Internal trim set for no squash factory setting.

I set the TP to provide the sustain that would be there if we were louder, but without it messing with the attack. This is usually like plan-x, maybe sustain closer to 3 sometimes. It also serves as a buffer for my guitar, so on all the time, except occasionaly not.

Same here. I also don't turn it off, both clean and overdrive.

Trim set towards the darker squishy side
volume: just above unity
blend: 10:30 or so
sustain: between noon and 2:00
I only use it with the 12 string and set the trim darker:worried 'cause that dang Ric is BRIGHT!!
