Yes, that's Wayne's shop, and that's Wayne kneeling at the right.
FWIW, the guitar is a cutaway dred, with appalachian red spruce top and koa back and sides.

I'd be kneeling too if I was in the room with that guy.
One of my heroes.
Thanks for the clip-

Allen St. JohnAllen, just finished your book. Great read! Funny, seeing the shop in the video clip versus the image your description so vividly placed into my mind's eye, made it seem like an old, comfortable place I knew so well. Clapton's Guitar was a great book and terrific piece of writing. My highest compliments to you and your skills. AC

Thanks for the kind words.
During the time I was writing the book I never pestered Wayne to finish my guitar, but I did pester him to finish Doc's, for obvious reasons. (Doc just celebrated his 84th birthday.)
When he finally got Doc's guitar done, Wayne told me that he stamped the serial number in it.
It's 346, one number after mine.
Needless to say I'm tickled and honored.

P.S. Love the quote from your son. Sounds like he'd get along well with my 10 year old.

And when you tire of playing that same old Henderson, day after day, year after year, put me first on the list of buyers! http://www.thegearpage.net/board/images/icons/icon10.gif

Allen, I also enjoyed your book. From the way you've described Wayne's shop, it looks like some serious cleaning was done before that vid was shot. ;)

Thanks, Fatback.
Actually that's shot by Gerald's corner of the which stays reasonably neat. That said, a scheduled visit from Doc is a good excuse to get out the shop-vac.

I hate to disappoint you, but that Henderson isn't going anywhere. Ever.
FWIW, if any of you are anywhere near Harrisburg PA, Wayne's playing there on Sunday.
