Yes, that's Wayne's shop, and that's Wayne kneeling at the right.
FWIW, the guitar is a cutaway dred, with appalachian red spruce top and koa back and sides.

Funny, seeing the shop in the video clip versus the image your description so vividly placed into my mind's eye, made it seem like an old, comfortable place I knew so well. During the time I was writing the book I never pestered Wayne to finish my guitar, but I did pester him to finish Doc's, for obvious reasons. (Doc just celebrated his 84th birthday.)
When he finally got Doc's guitar done, Wayne told me that he stamped the serial number in it.
It's 346, one number after mine.
Needless to say I'm tickled and honored.

Actually that's shot by Gerald's corner of the which stays reasonably neat. That said, a scheduled visit from Doc is a good excuse to get out the shop-vac.
