I'm using a Weber bias rite that plugs into my own DVM and I have a question regarding plate voltage. When I switch the toggle on the weber adapter to plate voltage, my meter (set on lowest setting) says .048. Does this mean 480 plate voltage? That seems high compared to what I've read on DRRI plate voltages.

Any thoughts? Thanks
Jerry

That would be a very high voltage for a 6V6 tube, I think it should be closer to 435 plate on pin 3. What does the bias read on pin 5?

The newer Deluxe Reverbs, when biased correctly, should run somewhere around 410 volts. What is the milliamp reading on the meter?

I must be going about this wrong. I plug in the adaptor and get the reading of .048 which I'm thinking is 480 plate voltage. I'm running JJ6V6S (14 watt tube) at 70% the cathode current should be set at .020.

Is my thinking correct? Thanks

Jbever, what the bias right does is show 001 volts for every 1 ma of plate current in your tubes. To cut a long story short you should show 20 or 22 mv on your volt meter in order to get 20-22ma of current flowing in the tube.
