I've got a Larrivee D02 that I really like. It is my only acoustic.
The singer in my band and I have been working up an acoustic set and we're gearing up to start doing some gigs, so I need a backup. Also, I'd like to get something with a built in p'up so I don't have to deal with micing and add-on pickup headaches.
I'm soliciting suggestions for a good (used is an option) acoustic (w built-in p'up) for under $1K.
Thanks,
Scott

you can get a great takamine with solid built-in electronics for that price. they take a beating and they sound good plugged in.

I've always been a Taylor fan but recently played a Carvin 980 Cobalt, jumbo body, solid top, Fishman, built-in tuner, beautiful looks and sounds. It will be my next acoustic, and it's under a grand shipped with a hardshell case. Best bang for the buck IMO. Good luck in your hunt!

sorry, this won't neccessarily help you, but I made the decision to get a dread and an OM as my two steel string acoustics. I have not been unhappy with that decision!

Seagull! They have made in USA stuff that sounds great in that price range. I had one for over 10 years, my brother has it now, and it has aged REALLY well, and it was one of the cheaper ones...

getcha a taylor 110E or a big baby. i loved my Big Baby enough to put a fishman stereo blender in the side of it, add a K&K Pure Western Mini pickup to the bridgeplate (running thru the fishman), gold/ebony tuners, graphite saddle and am trying to finish a florentine cutaway on it. oh, and taylor luggage GA case. you'd be around 700 with that much on it as well but you can get the guitar used for around 250-325 depending on condition. they'll set up very well too.
