Those classic series plug ins that Bassomatic posted are simply in a different league to the ones I had previously in my VST folder , they are fuller , fatter and have a lot more depth going on and record awesomely.
Does anybody else know the source of free vst plug ins of such high pro quality ?

I know where some free ones are but I can't necessarily speak to the quality. :) Those plugins Basso linked to are very nice.

Thanks so much fellas .
Ive sourced great verbs , delays and modulation vst fx, but you know what , Ive yet to hear a drive vst that sounds even 50% usable, all that ive heard just sound so artificial , do you know of any vst plug in that can yield drive sounds that are effective ?

Ok. Collecting free VST's is sort of a hobby of mine. There are TONS of extremely high quality free plugs out there. You can find most of them here:

Here's quick rundown of top quality FX by type. All of these plugs are at or above the level of the classic series and can all be found at the site above.

Check out TSS too. AKA Tube Screamers Secret. Nice replication of a TS anyway.
