I have a studio date set for June so I've been thinking a lot recently about what tunes I want to record. I turned on the radio the other day and was greeted to the sound of clapping hands and Ramsey Lewis' soulful piano. This tune brings a smile to my face every time. I've only been working on the head over the last couple of days, but I'm liking where it's going. There are tons of cool idea's for double-stops in Ramsey's playing.

Fatback - great work! That song is also one of my all time favorites - so simple, yet so much groove and energy. I think you did an awesome job translating the feeling to the guitar!!! Just Great!

-> If you like the in crowd I guess you already know ramsey lewis "Do what you wanna"?! If not check it out. Pretty similar stuff played on a wurly.

Regards, Lu

Sounds like it's going to be really slick Fatback... Cool application of the tune..

Ya might want to check out Jeff Golub's rendition of the In Crowd ...
It's along the same lines as you're thinking here...
