View Full Version : DIN Connector for a Marshall JCM 2000 Footswitch

I've got a friend's JCM 2000 TSL footpedal here that isn't working properly. The footswitch connects to the amp via a 6-pin DIN connector, but in checking for continuity between the pins and the wires coming out of the other end of the cable (to the footswitch), only three maintain continuity. I figure the DIN connector has lost a few connections and perhaps needs replacing. I've never bought a DIN before, so I'm wondering if anyone knows if the following Neutrik would work:

Oh, and if it interests you, only pins 2, 3, and 4 maintain continuity from one end of the cable to the other. I can't hack off the existing DIN yet to check for wire breaks since it's molded onto the cable itself.

Musicians Friend sells the whole foot switch for for $129 shipped.....

Check with Marshall on the warranty- I believe it's five years. A lot of guys got them replaced for free. The serial number sticker on the back will give you the year of manufacture.
