Guy wants to convert a SF Bassman (AA371) to a 1X12 combo format, and I'm lookin' at an output transformer from AES. Listed as a replacement for all 50w amps, comes with 2/4/8 ohm tap, equivalent to #125A13A & 018343.
Any experience with this unit?
Any OTHER options besides MM? (they're a bit too pricey in this particular instance)
TIA!

hint: look at the "weight" listed, if it's LESS than original OT, do NOT use it.
...believe it or not, but it's also a function of the IRON core (quantity & quality) as well as the windings that combine to ensure good low-end frequency response!

Fender Prosonic OT, Bassman/Super form factor, 4/8/16 output taps.

Thanks guys, and OTM- you are right, sir- mo raw material= mo better transformer. The OT in this Bassman is quite hefty indeed, and I wouldn't even DREAM of putting a lighter unit in it!
