What about Brian Moore guitars? I see them listed and they are fairly priced, well affordable. To me they resemble a Mcnaught but seem alot less. Why? I am looking for a good guitar to use when I dont feel comfortable taking my Driskills.

The flagship MC/1 was an incredible guitar. I'm less impressed by their bolt-on models and set-neck DC/1. I have little experience w/ their import line.
The company is currently undergoing a shift toward just the iGuitar idea - perhaps a name change, no more custom intruments. They will support/service Brian Moore guitars still...

Mine was utter crap....they went out of business for a reason...
In all fairness, I am sure it was just my guitar, and all other BMs (heh) are very fine guitars.

I owned a USA made DC1 and C90. I also checked out a few iGuitar in stores.
Both the DC1 and C90 were made well before the iGuitar stuff started going down.
The older USA made fiddles were wonderful but I ended up selling both. The DC1 was really freakin heavy and the extended upper horn on the C90 caused the guitar to sit offset when strapped on. The cosmetics, workmanship, and playability of both were top notch though.
The iGuitar stuff I checked out? No offense to anyone here who may own one but I thought it was utter junk compared to the USA stuff.

Well question asked and question answered. Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I will check out Carvin at some point!

I currently own 4 Brian Moore guitars, and I love them. I have three C90
models and one DC/1. The DC/1 is on the block right now because I just
don't play it as it is a LP style axe with a 24.75" scale and I much prefer
the 25.5" scale on my C90s. But I like the neck better than any LP I've
ever owned or played. I guess I'm just not a LP/singlecut kinda guy.
Two of the C90's are my regular players right now. One is the standard
HSH config and the other has three P90's. All of my Brian Moore's are
piezo equipped and have the Roland Ready electronics too.
I don't find the C90's unbalanced at all, nor do I find the DC nearly as
heavy as any LP I've played, so I guess to each his own. They just don't
have a very good rep around here for some reason, I dunno.
My other C90 is a HH semi-hollow model. I just got it in Jan and have
hardly played it because I've got a nice Gadow that covers my semi-
hollow needs. I jumped on it because it was so beautiful and it reeled me
in, but in retrospect it wasn't something that I needed. Nothing bad to
say about it though. I may try to move it along because I'm not a
collector and don't see having an axe sit around and collect dust.
I find the necks on the C90's to be the most comfortable necks I've
played. I'm sure this is a personal thing. I've owned two i8.13's as well
and although they are nice guitars for the money, they aren't the same
as the Custom Shop axes. The i8's, i2's, i9's and i1's are Korean
assembled, the i81, i91, i21 are Chinese assembled and are of much
worse quality.
I recommend you check one out if you get a chance. Its a good time to
buy them because the prices are pretty low right now. They're not a
cork-sniffer fave, but who cares, if they do the job for you, you can
own an excellent axe for much less than the boutique crowd pays.
As was pointed out, they are still covering any Custom Shop warranties
and will continue to do so. They're still doing piezo and 13-pin upgrades.
They're still offering their i-series models, just not making more Custom
Shop axes as this time, probably because they weren't selling. Don't know
if this will drive the CS axes up in price eventually (hope so) but
whatever, I don't buy guitars as investments anyway.
