Hi,

AFter the NAMM show in january I visited Jim Tyler in his workshop and he guided me through his latest developments. I ended up ordering this guitar that came to my door last week.

I apologize for the crappy photos. It looks absolutely amazing IRL.
I'm convinced that if James Bond played guitar, this is the guitar he would choose. Elegant and sophisticated but with an underlying sense of raw power and menace.

As usual when I get to play a good instrument I want to write something and this was so versatile that I just wrote a tune with drums, bass and lots of different sounding Tyler tracks. I call the tune "I Know".

In case you wonder about the title I got the inspiration from Jim Tylers slogan on his new web site.

You can find the tune here:

Hope you enjoy it!

Cheers,

Hi Niels and Vlad,

You guys were on the button. Thanks for listening. I recorded this tune the day after getting it so I'm sure I will be able to both make it sound better and play it better.

Niels - The pickups are Tylers own single coils and his special order slanted trembucker. About the sound, I really would have wanted to record it with a Plexitone but, alas, don't have that yet. :D

Cheers,

I was trying to find a way to offer my praise in Swedish. Dutch was as close as I could get:

Dat is ontzagwekkend!!!

Hi,

Thanks for sharing my joy in my new guitar.
It takes me in other directions than my other guitars so I excited to see what it will bring out in the future.

Glad you like the tune. My opinion is that it could be more cohesive in feel but then that may be just me not feeling comfortable with this kind of tune yet. :D

Soli - Dutch is good enough. :AOK

Hi Gary,

Showed your post to my wife. She wasn't aware of me having a wild side. ;)
