Bass "Boards" on their way??

TB is great for what it is, there's a lot of really cool people there, and it's also a really great resource.

I didn't (and don't) like the arrogance (or inferiority complex) that go with a lot of the attitudes of "bassists." I let it get the best of me, so I decided I needed a vacation from there.

I'm not talkin' shit about TB, just sayin' there's other places I'd rather hang.

Ya, know, I like TB, but it's getting a bit "big for itself".
Now, TGP is a BIG site, but not for bassplayers-yet. So the intimacy of a "small" site is still here.
But the good thing about this place (and a little FYI, TGP is the 2nd largest guitar page on the net behind the dreaded/ugly place HC) is that it's 100% user supported and susequently, it's pretty well, self mod'ed.
Someone starts being out of line or disrespectful, the members shut him down quickly and alert the mods.

And yeah, Bassic83, Perma-Ban in 20 or less!! LOL!!

But hey, I'm sure the word is getting out, and once it does, a lot of TB'rs will swing on over to at least see what's going on.

[Shatner voice=ON] "Guys, c'mon- it's gonna be big- REALLY big!" [/Shatner voice] :D. Not to be baggin' on TB, but the tone of most people's posts over there has gotten really fearful...and that's how it should be in a "police state". I don't like police states. I also don't like the arbitrary nature of the moderation going on over there. I've been posting more and more over here. People don't seem to have the agendas going on over here, more of a "live and let live" mentality. I like it. It's much mo' bettah.

That is a lot of what I don't like about TB. The whole "g****r" thing, like it's a dirty word.

I'm very proud to be a bass player, and I'm also very proud to be a guitar player. I'm glad I'm able to make music.
