When I was a kid I went to his wedding in Brooklyn.....best wedding I've ever been too. And what a guy. On his wedding night he took me out to his car (he left his own reception) and gave me his baseball glove because he heard I needed a new one....never forgot it.....I mean he left a party of hundreds of people to do that for me....great guy.
I have a Victor Wooten Sig. fretted 4 string in buckeye burl that I'll try to get a pic of for ya.
That bass rules!!!
I dig Foderas, bigtime.

Vic's my hero man, the year I tried to seriously play bass, that's all I listened to. He OWNS the pocket.
I got to play his fodera at the NAMM booth once. The crazy looking one with 2 J's.
Keep em coming gang!

I came down very very sick last year and had to let my dream bass go to pay some bills and such:

Matt Garrison model, 34" scale, horse chestnut buckeye burl top with matching headstock, wenge pick-up covers, birdseye maple fingerboard, ash bodywings with a alder center block.
here's a shot of the back:

Ask Scott Peterson about it-
Ferrari of basses?? No.
Bentley of basses.
I don't think I'll ever be in a financial position again, to be able to get another Fodera.
It took me a long time of selling/buying to get that one!

I dinked about a bit on Mike's Fodera. It was an extraordinary thing. It's one of those things you seriously experience when you are doing it because you know it's a special thing. I don't say that lightly.
Check my MySpace site and click on the video and watch/hear Mike play that thing! (if my shiny head doesn't distract you that is, lol!)

Damn!
Great shots, Jato. Beautiful bass.
Now, is that thing short scale, or is that cat huge?:D
Basso,
34" scale, and yes our Meer(cat) is huge (22lb !!)... 24 frets that are just so well put together I can't help but :D myself. This baby also has the braz fretboard, and neck through design.
I'm such a fan of Vinnie's/Joey's work. I've been to their booth a couple of times at NAMM, just to oggle the fine work (and wood), and gawk at the stellar players who show up! (like Dominique DiPiazza, Mike Pope, Victor Bailey, Marcus Miller, Jeff Berlin...)

There is a metal band (who is quite big and who's name escapes me right now) who's bass player uses a Fodera 4.

Wow some awesome Fodera's. Currently playing a VW Classic Monarch 4 string at 8.5 lbs. Been looking at an Emperor Basic 5 string at 10.5 lbs. The weight is the only negative especially that I will have to order it online without playing it. What do you guys think? Will the 2 lbs make much of a difference on your back at the end of the night....
10.5 lb would be pushing it for me.
It is a Fodera, though...if it plays and sound PHAT,
I guess I'd have to go for it.
If you have the back for it, that is.
