Just thought I would introduce you guys to a "new" guy on the bass scene.
Nino Valenti (www.valentibasses.com)

This is one I have in the works right now:

Nordstrand MM and Nordstrand J pick-ups, Sadowsky pre-amp, Alder body, maple top, rosewood fingerboard, birdseye maple neck, HipShot hardware.

A little FYI on Nino.
Works as final set-up/insepction and shipping manager at Sadowsky guitars and a super super nice guy.
So far, his basses (at least the couple I played) are killing.

I'm gonna shoot Nino a note and tell him to chime in over here.
He's a great guy and again, he's putting out a great bass.

Nino rules and I was very impressed with his basses that I played. If I had any bucks at all, we'd be talking about an order.

Nino is a super nice guy. And his basses are great. I've played a few and a killer quilt black at NAMM. No worries with Valenti.

Damn fine from the pics. Now I got to get a gig booked so I can see/play the sweet thing in person! :D (Not on the gig though, I'll leave the low end to Mr. Fredericks. I just want to do my hack bass player imitation at rehearsal).

Wow, those look nice. When I took guitar lessons a few years ago at Maggio's in Brooklyn, Nino worked alongside the tech there. That's awesome that he's making custom basses now. I remember he gave me a demo cd of his band one time.
