What is Mick Mars doing at 2:56 in this song. Forgive me, I am more of a blues player but have been teaching a good friend who's a hard rocker so I am unacquainted with this style. I'm really loving this stuff though!
I know this tune is in "D". I am stuck on this part, just forward the video right to it by picking the advance bar.. I know he's playing around the appropriate chord, but how?

lowendgenerator, hey thanks! I knew someone here would chime in.. Wow, I'm not accustomed to picking that fast! That's appears to be all downstrokes.. Is this reverse power chord type shape common in this type or rock? I don't recall using it. It sounds kinda like a quirky "reverse octave".

Don't forget to tune down a whole step.

No problem friend! Anytime I can help someone decipher the enigma that is Mick Mars, well I just jump at the chance. His style and phrasing has always been a bit off kilter like that. If and when I have more time, I'll post examples of things Mick does that make me go crazy.
I did generate that tab (kinda). It's Guitar Pro 5 and I captured it with Snagit.

Great, thanks a million! So far I've learned Piece of Your Action, now Live Wire, and then Too Fast for Love and Take me to the Top are on the list. I'm going to see a MC tribute band next week and hope to steal a few ideas. Anyone else rockin thse tunes, or MC in general?
