After watching the entire 4 DVD Four Flicks collection again, I have a greater appreciation for Ronnie then ever before. While I am still "in love" with the Mick Taylor era mostly, Ronnie is quite versatile and has a terrific collection of guitars. I found this cool site with a bunch of pics:

http://www.iorr.org/talk/read.php?1,457512,page=1

I did some searching and also found a few cool guitars that Ronnie has played or played in the past:

Here is the ONG Japan "The Man" Model:

http://ong.iulnet.co.jp/

Here is a guy making Travis Bean replica metal necks like the TB-500 that Ronnie played with the New Barbarians (see page 2 of the above pictorial for a great shot of a white TB-500):

Ronnie has also been seen playing an RKS Wave guitar (Dave Mason founded the company).

Finally, I am falling for the Versoul Henry which ROnnie has been seen with lately as well:

Below is a gift to Ronnie from Billy Gibbons. It was built by John Bolin who has made about 7 other guitars for Ronnie in the past couple of years.

Hey dzo, I remember John Bolin telling me about that one and Keith's matching Tele with pink guard. I think he made them back in 2001. Any pics of the other 7 guitars he did for Ron?

I don't have any pictures but don't believe they were as exotic as the one pictured above. There may have been a few Supro and Gretsch-type guitars involved.

Melj, I love your Henry Gold Leaf. Can you describe the sound. I am a classic rock player-think Stones, Black Crowes, etc and play Les Pauls with PAF type pickups and some P-90's mainly. I use mostly Marshall plexi amps. How would a Versoul fit into that style?

Cool thread! I love the Stones/Keef/Ronnie.
In '88 I was in London on holiday and had lunch in the Hard Rock Cafe. Ronnie Wood was there as well and graciously signed an autograph and posed for a pic!

Dude, you are killing me! When did you meet Marc? Cool pics!!! I am going to be seeing the Crowes in Bethlehem (PA not Israel!) in August at Musikfest and it will be the first without Marc for me-I assume Paul Stacey is doing the summer shows again like last fall but it will feel weird not having Ford there.

Melj you are terrific with your time in describing these guitars. I am getting hooked quickly on a Henry. Hoochies over in Japan has a black one with tortishell pickguard(pictured above in my first post to this thread). I am kinda partial to the gold leaf too! Any idea what colors Ronnie will be getting and also more info on Rich Robinson's potential one would be great.

Thanks Mel. I did see the kolumbus/ link to Kari's site and will email him shortly. I read your H-C review of the guitar too. I really want one of these soon.

3:00 a.m. after the May 20, 2005 Norva show. Waited on the sidewalk in front of the venue - they park the busses right in front of the Norva, so I knew they'd have to come out sooner or later! Got to meet everyone and got autographs...except for Chris. Was talking to, and getting my picture taken with Marc when he came out and he didn't spend too much time before he headed towards the bus.

I think the scoop is that Paul Stacey will be with the band. Haven't heard him yet - Marc is to the Crowes as George was to the Beatles as far as I'm concerned. Just the right compliment for the music of the Bros. Robinson.
Oh, well.

Big Mike, the new Z's are great. I almost had 2 last summer but decided to stick with my Historic Pauls. The workmanship and look is terrific and the hardware and pickups(DiMarzio PAF's I believe) are good. I would still love a Z along with a Trussart and of course a Versoul. I guess my guitar tastes are a mix of Marc Ford and Rich Robinson plus Ronnie, Mick Taylor and Keith. (Speaking of which has anyone seen the new (old) White ES-345 that Keith has been playing-gorgeous. Here is a link to that:

I have one of these. Very nice guitars. Good construction. Great tones. I love the Crawfish cut out of the escutcheon, with a gold mirror behind it. Very cool! They have removable pickups, just take out the center plate and pop a new one in. Mine came with mini-hums, and I've never felt the need to replace them.

I bought mine on the Sunset Strip in LA. At the time, they had a shop there, probably around 2000-01 or so.

When I was at NAMM in 03 or 04, I went to the Guitar Show down the road, in Anaheim. I saw those guys there, selling their guitars, but they've long since disappeared from the Sunset Strip.

The guy who owns the company, Moony, is apparently very well known and respected in Japan ....

The only time I ever play it is when my son is playing outside. I watch him and noodle on the ONG Blues, unplugged.

Don't have a pic, sorry ...
