Boomerang 3

Anyone know anything about this?
I read about it hear months ago and decided to wait. Features sounded cool and the footprint was smaller.

Checking back in it seems to not appeared. No info that I could see on the website either.
I was waiting for it to pull the trigger on a looper. Should I just get the ver2 or is it still worth waiting for - if it is even coming out?

I'm waiting on the new one too. As I recall, from the posts you reference, the expected release date was some time this month (May).

FWIW, Musicians Friend is out of stock and is citing 2-4 week availability; maybe, they blew out stock in anticipation of the new model. I check the boomerang website and gear boards daily hoping for some news.

the wait is killing me on this. it's been delayed for like a year now, maybe a little less. i'd wait for the new version or get a different looper entirely.

I am frozen with indecision on this. Granted life is moving on fine and all but I want a looper darn it. The Boomerang 3 seems like a very evolved unit but ....well....where is it???

If you email them they will give you loads of info about the pedal. I have heard that it will be out in June. I really want to see a photo and Id like to know if it has metal switches or those plastic switches.

Sounds familiar.

Last spring I was told it would be out by last summer. I decided to move on and auditioned a bunch of loopers and found the Boss RC-20XL Loop Station was everything I need.

Can you do multiple loops with the Boss?

Mike Nelson told me mid-June or maybe later. It'll be worth the wait. And in the meantime, my current version Rang is my home jamming partner. Love it.

one thing it wont do (based on an email from them) is save a loop. thats kind of a bummer (if I'm correct).

Hey thats a feature! It forces you to come up with new loops all the time. Your performances will be different all the time, and improvisations won't kust be the solos over top of the loops, but the loops themselves. I use an Echoplex Digital Pro and a DL-4, and really like the idea of 'letting go' of the loops once you build them.

Anybody know what's up with the new Boomerang III?

A few weeks ago most of the online retailers like Musicians Friend had pre-order information up and were taking orders pending release. Music123 had sent me email stating an August 2nd release. Now, the information is gone; Guitar Center actually has it listed as 'discontinued'. Strange... I did send email to Mike at Boomerang a few days ago; so far, no reply.

Last I heard it was pushed to the end of the year - more like November.
