Ampeg vintage B-15-N. They are not loud, but have the most luscious tone I've ever heard!

My Mesa M-Pulse 600, preferred it to ever other high end bass amp I tried.

hey Sami, are you a bottom dweller too! :BEER

SVT, no brainer, but that's with the proviso that I have a couple of slaves to haul it around everywhere for me.

In the more realistic realm, the Thunderfunk is pretty much my grail

This amp does just about anything. Plenty of power, plenty of tone shaping options, footswitchable. Its not simple, but its well worth the effort.

..which would it be....

I do only own one bass amp and although I've had the occasional urge for a tube head the thought of carrying it has always stopped me from buying one if a lack of cash didn't. I've got an EA iAmp600 that does everything I need it to do so I've never really felt the need for anything else. Now cabinets are a different story. . . . .

two ampeg b15nc heads, modded for 6550's, with 2 b15n cabs

for me, that's the ultimate rig

For recording? Still the old Ampeg B-15 fliptop.

For live, I'd find an old SVT rig useful for at least 50% of what I do.

Hi,
I lucked out finding my Epifani PS 600 and UL-310. Both head and cab are so light each its hard to believe that great tone comes out of this rig. Being light is great for an older dude like me.
The 600 is very easy to get tone from without all the slides and with minimal knobs. The cabinet pushes plenty of air for what I need. We had a outdoors gig at a local park for The Autistic Society last month and this head & cab did fine. Again, I am very happy and money well spent. Bought this cool outfit from Sticks & Strings in Tucson, AZ.

A live rig I would have a Ampeg SVT, with the Ampeg SVT-810E Bass Enclosure (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ampeg-SVT810E-Bass-Enclosure?sku=481731). As already posted if I had someone to carry it around for me.
