LP junior with the strip tuners, do the little white buttons come off? if so, how? Pull, screw? I don't wanna ruin them if they don't come off!
Thanks

Mine broke off. I have them on my SG Classic. The little white button tuners, right? One of mine broke off, but the tuner itself actually broke, not the little white button part. I don't know if they come off or not, but I'd also like to know.

Yes they come off with heat. I wind up replacing alot of these on older guitars where the keys are crumbling. I use a miniature butane blow torch. Thety come off in seconds and new ones go on just as easily. Only heat the metal shaft and not the plastic. You can use a higher powered soldering gun but it takes longer.
Hope this helps,
Evan

I surely hope that you remove the tuner from the guitar before you do this................

So, they are moled on kinda? I understand that the heat would loosen it so it would come off, but what about putting it back on? Need glue? Do I risk damaging the button by takeing it off?

No after the fire the only thing left is the tuners frets and truss rod. Yes of course you remove the machine heads, sorry if it was not obvious.
Best, Evan

I usually just heat up the shaft again, and push them back on. The plastic softens and then hardens around the shaft. Just check your depth. Sometimes I will wick a drop of CA (super glue) to lock them in. Again all of this off the guitar.
Hope this helps,
Evan
