Hi,
I have put Duncans in my MM Axis. The wiring schematic is this one :

My problem is : when the humbuckers are splitted, the remaining coil is the inner one (without the screws). I want the outter one (at least for the neck PU).
Witch wires do I have to invert to have the outter coil when the HB is splitted?
Thank you very much ,
Vincent

Are you sure about this? Whenever I have used Duncans in this fashion, the slug coil is the one that is cut, leaving the adjustable coil available to the circuit. When the push/pull is pulled, it sends thre red+white of each pickup to ground, shorting out the slug coil.
If you want the other coil selected, for each pickup, connect the black lead to ground, and the green lead to the switch. Leave the bare wires where they are.

Thanks a million Jim !!!
I 've switched the wires, and now I have the outter coils woo hoo !!!!
I don't know why, but the "normal way" used to leave the inner coils. My PUs are both APH1...
thanks again anyway !!!!

This is how you choose your coil, but sounds like you already figured it out:

I had to learn the hard way that when you go by the other wiring diagram, you end up with the slug side on the bridge pickup. Had to reverse the wires.

There are quite a few ways to select the coil that gets cut -- and the one that remains. Vinceman has two Duncan humbuckers in the guitar, and they are in phase with each other, but selecting the wrong coil from each pickup, when he pulls the control. The easiest way to deal with this is to reverse the outside leads of each pickup, and leave the center (red+white) alone. The pickups will still be in phase with each other.
All of these drawings cut a coil the same way -- by sending a join to ground, thereby shorting out the coil whose other lead is already sent to ground. There is another way. You can also wire it so the push/pull selects which lead goes to hot -- black or red/white, leaving the green and bare wires at ground.
