With my SG fetish kicking in full force, I decided to round off my collection with a Maestro-equipped Historic SG, in classic white no less. They are just such fun guitars to play, I couldn't resist picking up another one. Can't get enough of those Historic Les Pauls/SGs.

I would've grabbed the one in the emporium if it was a hardtail. Sweet-looking guitar.

I had negotiated a price with the seller and was on my way to pick up that guitar when he called and said he changed his mind. So I had to find another one.

how the hell do you
A) keep the Maestro in tune
B) keep the bar from falling off

I had a bad ass firebird VII that I had to sell cause I couldn't deal with the top 2 issues....miss that guitar bad.

No, this one is a 2003. The one for sale in the emporium was a 2000. The white guard on this one is unusual. I think they're usually black. It looks sweet, though.

I don't know. I've never had one. Some people seem to have pretty good success with them, though, so I'll give it a shot. I'm fairly certain it requires that you have the right bridge-to-tailpiece angle and that you have a decent setup. If you don't, tuning could be problematic.

The digit in the pic looks like a 5. In any case, I like it. I plan on having a hardtail VOS SG in my hands a week from now. SGs rock! :RoCkIn

Yeah, it sorta looks like a 5, but the seller tells me it's a 3. SGs do rock. I have to agree!

Beautiful!
No problems with my Maestro staying in tune. You can't really do anything beyond a shimmer with them anyway.
