I just received my new 2007 FD2 Mosfet today! When I plugged it in and turned on the left switch it was AWEOME!!! Instant tone... I have one issue and one question for you though:

Issue: When I hit the boost with my foot there's a popping noise coming through thats a little loud..??? I dont get this??

Question: The "boost" switch doesnt get very much louder when I hit it so solo. I can tell that the gain is there however when I tried to make the boost louder I could do it very much. Is it supposed to be that way??

Please help??

Hmm, I wouldn't think you would have this issue with a Fulltone pedal.

What does this version sound like or compare to?

Try working the switch a bunch of times... 50 or so
If this doesn't help then I would contact Fulltone.

I have never had a problem with any of Fullers pedals except one that was my fault
I set the leg of the chair I was using in a studio right on top of my Deja Vibes on/off switch which broke it.
I e-mailed Fulltone, they sent me an RMA form quickly via e mail
I shipped it to Fulltone and had it back in about 7-10 days
I believe I had to pay shipping both ways but it was out of warranty by many years.

If yours is honestly defective then it will be covered under warranty.
Good luck.

I believe the popping switch question is answered in his FAQ.

The boost side really isnt a volume boost what you do get is more drive, you might get a slight increase in volume. Just put a clean boost pedal at the end of your chain if you need a volume boost.

The pop is normal with true bypass fx but i thought I had read Mike had said he borrowed the circuit from the OCD to keep the switch silent, I would Email Mike Fuller he has always been very helpful to me about any questions about his pedals!

I will add to this that the volume jump is greater with the drive a low settings, and in comp-cut mode. The higher the drive settings, the less volume boost you get when engaging the boost switch, you just set more gain/saturation.

At least it's that way it is with my older FD2 ('02 FM).

I plan on getting this new Mosfet model, and then using my older FD2 on a smaller grab 'n go board. :AOK
