My amp has been having some quiet crackling as of late when I switch channels. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Moved to the proper section.
My guess, FWIW, is tubes. But that is assuming you are playing a tube amp. More information would help folks give you ideas.

Sorry about that. It is a solid state amp. The crackling occurs occasionally when switching from my dirty channel to my clean channel. It's not all that loud, but loud enough to notice. Some days it'll happen everytime I change channels, some days not at all. It's kinda annoying.

always need to know the make/model in case it's a known issue or a schematic is easily available...
first thing would be cleaning all jacks/pots & checking any 'outboard' speaker connections.
then checking PCB boards for flex problems and cold solder joints.
then perhaps chasing tired components around the switching circuitry (depending on what it uses for switching...)

It's a Fender Stage 112SE.

RIGHT... you were talking about your speaker options before... sorry...
Can't find that schematic anyplace, so nothing new to add unfortunately, except that if it's not pot/jack/speaker wiring, then it'd have to be opened up and poked around for the other potential problems mentioned...

Darn... Last time this happened the crackling was about 10 times as loud and cost me about $80 to fix. Until it gets worse, I guess I'll try and ignore it.
