Speaker switch in Peavey...

I just got an old (pre Transtube) Peavey Backstage 50. It works fine. I'm considering in the future switching out the speaker for a tonal improvement. Anybody have any thoughts on how much change is possible and if its worth the effort? Anybody with experience with specific speakers? I'm considering the Jensen Neo or the Emi Lil Buddy. Anybody got any other Peavey mod ideas?

Just an update...
I REALLY like the Lil Buddy in that amp - its IMHO a perfect match.

As you probably noticed a speaker makes a BIG change in sound. It is after all the "vocal cords" of an amp! Glad you found one that works for you. Bob
